"My friends, this is a long struggle. It has been a month since we started demanding Pradhan's resignation on social media, but these individuals are so shameless that instead of taking action, they have been focused on other distractions, like hacking our accounts and getting our posts deleted. You may be able to delete our posts, but you cannot erase us from this space," he said during his address to the crowd.

What the protest is about

The Cockroach Janta Party, a youth-led online movement, is demanding accountability over alleged irregularities in examinations and recruitment tests, including NEET, CBSE, CUET and SSC exams. The Jantar Mantar event is expected to be the group’s first major on-ground mobilisation after gaining traction on social media in recent weeks.

Wangchuk urged participants to cooperate with authorities, carry only essentials such as water bottles and mobile phones, and bring flowers. He said anyone carrying weapons or suspicious objects should be reported to the police immediately. The CJP also circulated non-violence guidelines in advance, and Dipke reiterated those instructions, stressing respectful engagement with law enforcement during the protest.
