Supporters of the Cockroach Janta Party have started to gather at New Delhi's Jantar Mantar, after the police granted them permission to hold demonstration at the site
A large number of security personnel have been deployed at Delhi's Jantar Mantar ahead of Cockroach Janta Party's planned protest at the site.

Amid heightened security arrangements in the national capital, the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) announced on Saturday that it has been granted permission to hold its proposed protest at Jantar Mantar, according to PTI. The demonstration is expected to draw participants from across the country as the youth-led movement continues its campaign seeking accountability over alleged irregularities in various examinations and recruitment tests.
PTC News Desk: Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the online movement Cockroach Janta Party reached Delhi on Saturday ahead of a planned protest at Jantar Mantar and appealed to supporters to remain disciplined and keep the demonstration peaceful. Activist Sonam Wangchuk said he would undertake a six-week fast if Dipke is arrested.
What the protest is about
The Cockroach Janta Party, a youth-led online movement, is demanding accountability over alleged irregularities in examinations and recruitment tests, including NEET, CBSE, CUET and SSC exams. The Jantar Mantar event is expected to be the group’s first major on-ground mobilisation after gaining traction on social media in recent weeks.
Wangchuk urged participants to cooperate with authorities, carry only essentials such as water bottles and mobile phones, and bring flowers. He said anyone carrying weapons or suspicious objects should be reported to the police immediately. The CJP also circulated non-violence guidelines in advance, and Dipke reiterated those instructions, stressing respectful engagement with law enforcement during the protest.
