PTC Web Desk: As earlier with heavy rain in lower reaches and snowfall in upper reaches of Uttarakhand, the state government and the Gurdwara Shri Hemkund Sahib Management Trust has issued advisory to pilgrims.

The Uttarakhand Government said the yatra had been temporarily suspended for the next two days — May 24 and May 25 — amid heavy rain and snowfall, but however, due to the clear weather and sunshine today in Uttarkhand district administrations and trust sevadars clear the snow at the glacier and steps leading to the shrine.

The Uttarakhand Government stated that if the weather remains clear, the Yatris can visit Hemkund Sahib tomorrow.

Meanwhile, due to snow on the yatra route, devotees above 60 years of age and children are not allowed to travel this time. Only 2,500 pilgrims will be allowed to visit Gurdwara Hemkund Sahib in a day.
