PTC Web Desk: India's largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki India, has announced a price increase of up to Rs 30,000 across its entire range of vehicles from August 2026. The company said the decision has been taken to offset a part of the continuously rising production and input costs. The announcement was made through a regulatory filing on Tuesday.

Price hike will vary across models

Maruti Suzuki clarified that the actual increase will depend on the model. While some vehicles may see a smaller revision, the maximum price hike will be up to Rs 30,000. According to the company, the revision is necessary due to persistent cost pressures affecting vehicle manufacturing.

Maruti Suzuki said it has been making continuous efforts over the past several months to reduce costs through various efficiency measures.

However, with inflationary pressures remaining high and the cost environment continuing to be challenging, the company said it has no option but to pass on a part of the increased costs to customers.

The automaker added that it will continue to minimise the impact on buyers as much as possible.

The price revision will apply to Maruti Suzuki's entire product portfolio, including hatchbacks, sedans, SUVs and premium utility vehicles.

The company's lineup starts with the S-Presso, while the Invicto is currently its premium offering. Maruti Suzuki's vehicles are priced between Rs 3.5 lakh and Rs 28.70 lakh (ex-showroom). The revised prices will come into effect from August 2026.
