Woman found dead in Gurugram as her child cries nearby

PTC Web Desk: The Gurugram Police are looking for the husband of a 23-year-old woman, whose was found in a pool of blood in her residence located in the DLF Phase III area. Her two-year-old child sat nearby in tears, as reported by an official on Monday.

The preliminary suspicion suggests that the woman suffered fatal injuries inflicted by a sharp-edged weapon, prompting the authorities to suspect her husband, currently evading arrest, as a potential suspect.

Upon responding to the distress call, the police found the residence locked. After gaining forced entry, they found the woman dead and lying in a pool of blood. The child was inconsolable.

Identified as Laxmi Rawat from Agra, the victim had been residing with her husband, Gaurav Sharma, in their current residence for approximately six months. Investigators speculate that the alleged homicide transpired a day prior to its discovery.

Vikas Kaushik, a senior police official involved in the ongoing investigation, said, "We are meticulously examining all conceivable leads in this case and actively pursuing the whereabouts of the husband, currently absconding. Further insights into the motive behind this appalling incident are anticipated to surface in due course."
