After a school bus was attacked by stone-pelters in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, a nursery class student of a private school was injured.

A group of miscreants pelted stones on the bus of Rainbow High School at Zavoora in Shopian.

'Shocked & angered to hear of the attack on a school bus in Shopian. The perpetrators of this senseless & cowardly act will be brought to justice,' said Mehbooba Mufti.

"How does pelting stones on school children or tourist buses help advance the agenda of these stone pelters? These attacks deserve our unequivocal condemnation & this tweet is mine," Omar Abdullah said.

The police said the bus was attacked with stones near Kanipora village.

The police said the student received injuries in his head and was referred to Sri Maharaja Hari Singh (SMHS) hospital in Srinagar.
