Haryana crime: A firing incident was reported at the office of Congress MLA Balram Dangi in Meham town of Haryana's Rohtak district. The police have started an investigation.

According to officials, several rounds were fired at the MLA's office late Friday night. The office, located directly opposite the Meham police station, was closed when the incident took place.

The matter came to light on Saturday morning when the office caretaker arrived and noticed that the glass panels at the entrance had been damaged. A closer inspection revealed multiple bullet marks on the glass.

Confirming the incident, Balram Dangi said four to five bullet marks were found at the office premises. He added that he was informed about the attack after the caretaker noticed the damage.

Police teams reached the spot soon after receiving information and began collecting evidence. Investigators have seized the CCTV DVR from the premises and are examining footage from nearby cameras to identify those involved.

Preliminary findings suggest that around four to five rounds were fired at the office around 1 am. However, no suspects have been identified so far.

The police are continuing their probe to determine the motive behind the attack and trace the attackers.
