Chandigarh Police tightens security on New Years eve: 10 roads declared no vehicle zone

The vehicle restrictions have been imposed in the areas that are prone to risk of unruly behaviour and hooliganism.

PTC News Desk: In view of public safety and smooth celebrations on the New Year's eve, Chandigarh police has tightened security across the city. The police has declared ten roads in the city as no-vehicle zones on December 31. Vehicles will not be allowed on these roads from 9:30 pm on December 31 to 2:00 am on January 1, 2026.


The vehicle restrictions have been imposed in the areas that are prone to risk of unruly behaviour and hooliganism.
