PTC Web Desk:  In a major breakthrough, the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) of the Punjab Police has arrested two key shooters involved in the murder of kabaddi promoter Rana Balachauria, who was shot dead in Mohali’s Sohana area.

According to official sources, the arrested accused have been identified as Karan Pathak alias Karan Defaulter and Tarandeep Singh. Both were apprehended from Howrah in West Bengal following a coordinated inter-state operation.

The operation was carried out with the support of multiple agencies, including the Sikkim Police, Mumbai Police, West Bengal STF, central intelligence agencies, and the local Howrah police.

In another significant development, Akash, a close relative of foreign-based handler Amar Khaba Rajputa, has also been taken into custody in connection with the case.

Sources said all arrested accused will be brought to Punjab for further investigation. Meanwhile, raids are continuing at multiple locations to identify and apprehend other accused linked to the murder conspiracy. Investigators are working to unravel the entire network involved in the high-profile killing.
