Mansa double murder: Property dealer, employee shot dead by unidentified assailants; law and order under strain

PTC News Desk: A 48-year-old property dealer and his employee were shot dead on Friday morning in Sardulgarh area of Punjab's Mansa district


Jasveer Kumar Kaka, 48, and his employee Baldev Kumar were present at their farmhouse when unidentified assailants arrived and opened fire indiscriminately. Both of them died on the spot.

After the incident, Jasveer Kumar’s body was found on a chair, while Baldev Singh’s body was lying on the ground. Hearing the gunshots, nearby residents rushed to the scene and informed the Police.

No arrests have been made so far, and the identity and motive of the attackers remain unknown.

Soon after the incident, police along with forensic team reached the spot and launched investigation. Forensic teams collected the evidence from the spot.

The incident is latest in the spate of killings in the state, raising alarming concerns over deteriorating law and order situation and government's obliviousness towards the rapidly escalating tensions.
