Punjab: BSF, Punjab Police recover narcotics from Tarn Taran

PTC News Desk: A joint team of Border Security Force (BSF) and Punjab Police, on Thursday morning recovered another nefarious attempt of smugglers from Rajoke village in Punjab’s Tarn Taran. 

A joint operation was launched by BSF and Punjab Police after receiving specific information regarding presence of consignment of contraband items dropped by drone today morning.

During the search which was conducted at around 9:15 am, BSF troops recovered one small packet of narcotics suspected to be Heroin (Gross wt - appx 360 gms), wrapped with yellow colour adhesive tape attached with a nylon hook for hanging it with drone from the farming field of Rajoke village.


BSF Punjab Frontier also took to its official X handle and wrote, "On specific input, troops of @BSF_Punjab & @PunjabPoliceInd recovered one small bottle filled with suspected heroin (Appx 360 gms) dropped by Pakistani drone near Village Rajoke, District - Tarn Taran, Punjab."

Earlier on August 22, in a joint operation BSF and Punjab Police recovered one small bottle filled with suspected contraband item Heroin (Gross wt - 450 gms) wrapped with black colour adhesive tape.

The suspected narcotic was recovered from the farming field near Roranwala district in Punjab’s Amritsar.

Vigilant troops of BSF and Punjab Police once again recovered the nefarious design of smugglers.
