Punjab Government announces new school timings for winters, check details

Punjab School Winter Timings : With winter approaching, the Punjab government has changed timings of its schools with effect from November 1.
Check new school timings
Primary School - 9 am till 3 pm
Middle, High and Senior Secondary Schools: 9 am to 3:20 pm
These new school hours are applicable from November 1 till February 28, 2024.
As per a letter issued by the education department, school hours for primary classes would be from 9 am to 3 pm, and for middle, high school and senior secondary schools until 3.20 pm.
The decision has been taken in view of security of both children and teachers. As the days of dense fog is approaching which will reduce the visibility in most parts of Punjab and can affect vehicular movement.
