Rains lash parts of Punjab and Haryana
Most parts of Punjab and Haryana received fresh spell of heavy rain. According to Indian Meteorological Department, in Punjab, rain was recorded in Faridkot 2.2 mm, Bathinda 4 mm, Amritsar 13.1 mm, Patiala 14.8 mm.

In Haryana, rain was recorded in Sirsa 5 mm, Bhiwani 1.4 mm, Ambala 7.7 mm, Hisar 30 mm, Karnal 16.8 mm and Rohtak 3.2 mm.
Punjab and Haryana common capital, Chandigarh rainfall was recorded at 10.6 mm. Also, the wettest place in Punjab and Haryana is Pathankot. It received 94 mm of rainfall.
The minimum temperatures went up by several degrees above normal, but cold conditions continue to prevail in these states. Gurdaspur is the coldest place in both these states with 5.3 degrees Celsius.
