Self-styled godman Rampal sentenced to life imprisonment in 2 murder cases

Self-styled godman, Rampal, has been awarded life imprisonment in jail by Hisar court on Tuesday in connection with murder cases. The punishment was announced inside the Hisar Central Jail premises to avoid clashes.

On October 11, Rampal, was found guilty of murder in two separate cases. The cases were filed by two men at Barwala police station on November 19. 2014. They alleged that their wives were murdered inside Rampal's ashram at Barwala village.

Rampal sentenced to life imprisonment in 2 murder cases

Policemen arrested Rampal and his followers from his 12-acre ashram. He was using devotees as human shields. After battling for a few days, policemen were able to arrest him.
