Punjab: Re-Voting Going on Peacefully in 54 polling booths in 8 districts

The re-polling started around 8:00 AM in the morning and is going on smoothly and peacefully.

The Election Commission of Punjab had ordered the re-polling of Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samiti elections in 54 polling booths in 8 districts.

It may be recalled that the decision to hold re-election due to disturbances in the Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samitis elections on September 19 will be held from 8 am to 4 pm.

According to information, 10 districts in Amritsar district, 1 in Moga, 1 in Fazilka, Patiala 2, Faridkot 1, Bathinda 1, Ludhiana 2 and Sri Muktsar Sahib 36 polling booths.

Election Commission has ordered re-polling for Zila Parishad & Panchayat Samiti elections in 28 polling booths across seven districts of the state. Re-polling has started.

The counting of votes will begin on September 22, 2018, Saturday at 8:00 AM.
