Supreme Court declares Aadhaar scheme as Constitutionally valid

The Supreme Court has declared the centre’s flagship Aadhaar scheme as constitutionally valid on Wednesday. The Supreme Court’s 5-judge constitution bench said that Aadhaar means Unique and it would be better if it is kept unique than it is being kept as best.

The bench was headed by Chief Justice Dipak Misra, Justices AK Sikri, AM Khanwilkar, DY Chandrachud and Ashok Bhushan.
