Supreme Court declares Aadhaar scheme as Constitutionally valid
- Supreme Court said that there is nothing the Aadhar Act that would violate the right to privacy of an individual.
- Supreme Court also upholds the passing of Aadhaar Bill as Money bill by Lok Sabha.
- No child would be denied benefits of any schemes or school admission on the grounds of not bringing their aadhaar number.
- Supreme government directed the government not to give aadhaar rights to illegal immigrants.
- CBSE, NEET, UGC cannot make Aadhaar mandatory, for school admissions
- Aadhaar authentication data should not be stored for more than six months
- Section 57 of Aadhaar Act would now permit private entities to avail Aadhaar data struck down
- SC declares Aadhaar scheme as Constitutionally valid
- There would be no possibility of obtaining a duplicate Aadhaar card
