Thailand launches E-Visa on arrival to attract tourists
Thailand officially launched E-Visa on arrival for visitors to attract tourist. According to media sources, it is the last attempt of the country to make the immigration process easy for foreign tourists.
With this newly introduced feature, one can fill the visa on arrival application early, i.e. 24 hours before arrival to at most 30 days before arrival.
Surachet Hakpal, Acting Commissioner of Thailand's Immigration Bureau, said that the new E-visa on arrival move was taken to deal with overcrowding in airports in Bangkok and other cities.
He further said that tourists have to wait for more than two hours to get their visa on arrival at Thailand airports now. It usually takes a lot of time to pass the immigration process.
Acting commissioner said that with this new service, the immigration process will reduce to one minute now.
