Battle of Baghpat 2.0: Mathura’s lassi war breaks out with flying kulhads
According to reports, the fight broke out on a road leading to Ladli Mandir in Barsana
PTC Web Desk: If the 2021 Battle of Baghpat was India’s version of Game of Chaats, then welcome to the hilarious 2025 sequel—The Battle of Mathura. This time, it’s lassi vs lassi, kulhads flying in every direction, and one major missing piece—Einstein Chacha (we miss you, legend!).
In the holy town of Mathura, known for its temples and tasty lassi, two rival lassi shop groups decided to skip customer service and jump straight into war. The clash happened on the road to Ladli Mandir in Barsana, and instead of fists or sticks, the fighters chose… kulhads! Yes, the same clay cups used to serve lassi were thrown like missiles.
A viral video shows a woman, her head covered with a veil like a battle helmet, throwing kulhads like a pro cricketer. Next to her stands a confused teenage girl, unsure if she’s stuck in a family feud or a Fast & Furious action scene. Just as she’s thinking it through—BAM!—a flying kulhad hits her head. She screams and falls like a Bollywood extra, while the woman rushes to help, dodging more flying kulhads on the way.
The police confirmed the brawl happened near Sudama Chowk. SP (Rural) Suresh Chandra Rawat said, "Yes, kulhads were used. Yes, someone got hurt. And yes, this really happened." Luckily, the injured woman is fine after a medical check-up—though the local pottery industry might not be.
What made fans a little sad? No sign of Einstein Chacha—the accidental hero of Baghpat 2021 whose stick-fighting skills became a viral sensation. One social media user joked, "Getting hit by a kulhad is fine, but without Einstein Chacha, even lassi tastes bland!"
From a peaceful temple town to a full-on battlefield, Mathura has now joined India’s list of wild and unforgettable street fights. Kulhads were served hot—not with lassi, but with drama.
