PTC Web Desk: During Coldplay's recent electrifying performance at Gillette Stadium in Boston, a seemingly light-hearted moment quickly turned into a viral sensation, involving two senior executives from the tech company Astronomer. The stars of the unplanned drama? CEO Andy Byron and Chief People Officer Kristin Cabot.

While fans were enjoying the show, the venue's "Kiss Cam" spotlighted Byron and Cabot, who were sitting closely together, apparently in a warm embrace. Their visible shock at being on the jumbotron was soon followed by an awkward attempt to separate, both shielding their faces in embarrassment.

The incident, which began as an innocent fun moment, caught the attention of Coldplay's frontman, Chris Martin. "Oh look at these two... either they’re having an affair or they’re very shy," he quipped to the crowd, sending the audience into fits of laughter.

However, things took a surprising turn when the clip made its way to social media platforms like TikTok, Reddit, and Twitter. Reactions varied — from humour to sharp criticism. A number of commenters pointed out Byron’s marital status, and some speculated that the two were engaging in an inappropriate workplace relationship. One user even wrote, "Sorry for the wife, but glad they're being exposed and embarrassed."

The incident raised broader questions about the intersection of personal and professional life, particularly in high-level corporate settings. Was this a simple mix-up, or does it point to deeper issues of workplace behaviour?

Kristin Cabot, who joined Astronomer in November 2024 as Chief People Officer, is known for aligning business strategy with "people strategy" in the company. Astronomer itself has garnered attention for developing Astro, a leading data orchestration platform that’s powered by Apache Airflow.
