Wolverhampton's Sikh students raise £40,000 for Birmingham Children's Hospital patients

Wolverhampton Khalsa Academy’s students on Saturday raised funds for good causes including treatment for sick children in the region. The students of the academy decided to support young patients at the Birmingham Children's Hospital. Young Wolverhampton's Sikh students joined hundreds of their peers across the UK for a 12-hour televised fundraiser. They raised more than £40,000.

Wolverhampton's Sikh students raise £40,000 for Birmingham Children's Hospital patients

In the five-day nationwide telethon, the Sikh students recognised the sacrifices made by the young sons and mother of the tenth Sikh master, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji through Gur Shabads. More than 500 students and their parents participated in the fundraiser event.

The students choreographed and presented Gatka performances during the interval. They were appreciated for their efforts and lauded for their hard work.
