Akal Takht acting Jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj has reached UK for a three-day visit, where he will participate in religious events and interact with the Sikh community in London and Southall
PTC Web Desk: Akal Takht acting Jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj has arrived in the United Kingdom on a three-day visit at the invitation of Nihkami Seva Trust UK. His visit is focused on participating in Sikh religious programmes and interacting with the Sikh community in the country.
On his arrival at London's airport, Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj was warmly welcomed by members of the local Sikh community and youth organisations. He was honoured with a traditional siropa and presented with flower bouquets as devotees greeted him with Sikh religious slogans.
During his visit, Giani Gargaj will attend a Gurmat Samagam at Gurdwara Guru Garib Niwaz in Hayes, London. The programme has been organised to mark Parkash Gurpurab of Sri Guru Harikrishan Sahib. He is expected to address the congregation and participate in discussions on Sikh teachings and contemporary issues concerning the community.
The religious event has been jointly organised by Nihkami Seva Trust UK, Jatha Panj Pyare Sahibaan UK, Guru Hargobind Sahib Trust UK and the local Sikh Sangat.
As part of his itinerary, the acting Jathedar will also visit Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha in Southall, where he will take part in another community gathering. During the event, he is expected to interact with members of the local Sikh community and share his views on matters related to Sikh traditions and values.
The visit is expected to strengthen ties between the Akal Takht leadership and the Sikh diaspora in the United Kingdom while encouraging greater engagement with the community through religious and cultural programmes.
