PTC News Desk: Onkar Singh, a 15-year-old Sikh student, has achieved outstanding results in the Lahore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Class 9 Examination 2025. He secured A grades across all subjects, including an impressive 98 out of 100 in Islamiyat—a subject centered on Islam’s religion, worldview, and civilisation.
He also scored 60 each in physics and chemistry, 59 in biology, 75 in English, 74 in Urdu, and 49 out of 50 in Translation of the Holy Quran.
The marksheet, accessed from the BISE Lahore website, confirms his consistent high performance. Son of Minmal Singh, Onkar’s exceptional scores in Islamiyat and the Translation of the Holy Quran highlight not only his academic dedication but also his respect for and understanding of diverse faith traditions.
According to Karachi-based ARY News, around 380,000 students appeared for Punjab’s annual Class 9 examinations, with 138,000 clearing the test and 169,000 failing, resulting in a pass percentage of just 45%. The results were published online on Wednesday.
