India remembers Missile Man APJ Abdul Kalam on his death anniversary
APJ Abdul Kalam Death Anniversary: Former President of India APJ Abdul Kalam, who passed away in 2015, has given his handout in aeronautics in which he got a title for himself — missile man. Kalam was born on October 15 in Tamil Nadu’s Rameswaram. He studied Aerospace engineering and physics.
The Missile Man had spent 40 years as a scientist and science administrator, at the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
On APJ Abdul Kalam's 5th death anniversary, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu took to Twitter and wrote: "My humble tributes to former President, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam on his death anniversary today. He was an outstanding scientist, a great human being and a ‘People’s President’, who inspired the people of the country, particularly the youth through his actions & words."
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said: "Tributes to Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, an epitome of intellect, wisdom and simplicity. A People’s President, who left indelible marks on several fields ranging from science to politics. His relentless quest for knowledge continues to inspire and capture the idea of self-reliant India."
Likewise, Harsimrat Kaur Badal said, "Remembering the former president of India & Missile Man, Bharat Ratna Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, on his death anniversary. His contribution to nation-building and especially his mission of motivating students to dream big and work towards it will always be cherished!"

Similarly, Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal said "Remembering the late president of India, Bharat Ratna Dr APJ Abdul Kalam on his death anniversary. The Missile Man of India, Dr Kalam will always be remembered for his passion for science, technology, innovation and also for making India a nuclear state."
