Music composer Wajid Khan died at a hospital in Mumbai in the wee hours of Monday following the complications from a kidney infection. Wajid Khan was 42-year-old. Wajid Khan was suspected to die of coronavirus. Prominent for composing peppy Bollywood numbers along with his brother Sajid, Wajid Khan was mourned on Twitter by Bollywood celebrities.
Besides Amitabh Bachchan, his son Abhishek, Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, her cousin Parineeti Chopra, Karan Johar, Varun Dhawan, Preity Zinta and others mourned the death of music composer.
Amitabh Bachchan took to Twitter and wrote: "Shocked at the passing of Wajid Khan .. a bright smiling talent passes away .. duas, prayers and in condolence." "Shocked hearing this news, Wajid Bhai was extremely close to me and my family. He was one of the most positive people to be around. We will miss u Wajid Bhai thank you for the music," Varun Dhawan wrote.
Priyanka Chopra wrote: "Terrible news. The one thing I will always remember is Wajid bhai's laugh. Always smiling. Gone too soon. My condolences to his family and everyone grieving. Rest in peace, my friend. You are in my thoughts and prayers."
"Wajid Bhai you were the nicest, nicest man! Always smiling. Always singing. All heart. Every music session with him was memorable. You will truly be missed Wajid Bhai," Parineeti Chopra said in a tweet.
Sajid-Wajid’s latest song was released last week as the duo had composed Salman Khan’s lockdown number Bhai Bhai. Salman Khan’s brother, Arbaaz Khan took to Twitter and wrote: “RIP Wajid bhai you will be deeply missed. The music industry has lost a gem. Gone too soon. My heartfelt condolences to the grieving family and friends. Allah jannat naseeb kare.”
