India's COVID-19 cases have crossed the 10 lakh-mark after the country reported highest single-day spike of 34,956 cases, and 687 deaths in the last 24 hours, as of Friday morning. The total number of coronavirus cases in India has gone up to 10,03,832 out of which 3,42,473 are active cases, 6,35,757 have been cured and discharged while 25,602 COVID patients have succumbed to the pandemic. publive-image A total of 22,942 COVID patients in India were declared cured and discharged in the last 24 hours. The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) stated that 1,30,72,718 samples have been tested for COVID-19 till July 16 out of which 3,33,228 samples were tested on Thursday.

publive-imageMaharashtra continues to remain the worst-affected state with the highest number of coronavirus cases in the country. The state recorded its highest spike of 8,641 new coronavirus cases, taking the total number of cases to 2,84,281. Maharashtra is having a total of 1,14,947 active cases while 1,58,140 have been cured/discharged. ACTUAL CASE LOAD OF COVID-19 PATIENTS IN COUNTRY IS 3,31,146 Tamil Nadu is on the second spot with 1,56,369 COVID-19 cases. Tamil Nadu has 46,717 active cases while 1,07,416 people have been cured and discharged. A total of 2,236 COVID patients have succumbed to the pandemic as of now.
