COVID-19: 11 states in India have over 1 lakh active cases
11 states have over 1 lakh active cases, 8 states have 50,000 to 1 lakh active cases, and 17 have less than 50,000 cases, the Union Health Ministry stated while giving coronavirus updates in India.

Karnataka, Maharashtra, Kerala, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh are 11 states with more than 1 lakh active cases.
Lav Aggarwal said that the cause of concern was Tamil Nadu where a rise in the number of active cases has been reported in the last week.
Meanwhile, he added that "Our containment efforts are working and the overall positivity rate in India, which stood at 21.9 percent last week has now fallen to 19.8 percent."
"Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Daman and Diu, Haryana, and Madhya Pradesh have reported a major drop in case positivity," he stated.
