India’s most wanted don Dawood Ibrahim and his wife have tested positive for coronavirus, top government sources in Pakistan said. Meanwhile, his personal staff and guards have been quarantined.
Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar, born in Dongri, Mumbai, is said to be residing in Karachi. He is accused of 1993 Bombay blasts and has several Interpol notice against him.
As per the report, Dawood is currently undergoing treatment in Karachi’s military hospital. His wife, Mehajabin has also tested positive for the novel coronavirus. He designated as a global terrorist in 2003 by India and the United States and carries a reward of US $25 million on his head for his role in the 1993 Bombay bombings.
However, Pakistan has been denying the reports of Dawood Ibrahim testing positive for coronavirus. Reportedly, the top official sources stated that the news is completely true and Dawood and his wife have been taken to the military hospital for the treatment.
Last month, it was reported that the Pakistan-based terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) is planning to carry out terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir and other parts of India in association with India’s most wanted Dawood Ibrahim. The intelligence sources had reported that ISI is planning to create an untoward situation in India at a time when the country is dealing with the coronavirus pandemic.
