Delhi Police Farmers Meeting: Delhi Police has suggested three routes in outer Delhi for farmers’ tractor march on Republic Day 2021, a farmer leader said.

Farmers leader Yudhvir Singh said that the Delhi Police officials have suggested three different routes in outer Delhi for farmers’ tractor march on Republic Day 2021 instead of Ring Road.

“We said we’ll make a collective decision in the Committee. We’ll meet with police officials again at 1 pm on Saturday,” Yudhvir Singh added.

Earlier in the day, the Bhartiya Kisan Union spokesperson Rakesh Tikait said that the government during the meeting offered to put the implementation of the farm laws on hold for two years and that the next round of meeting can take place only if farmer unions were ready to accept the proposal for suspending farm laws 2020.

“As planned, the tractor rally will take place on January 26,” Tikait said.

It is pertinent to mention that the 11th round of meeting that took place on Friday remained inconclusive while no date has been fixed for the next round of meetings.

The farmers have been protesting against the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020, Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, and Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020.
