Encounter breaks out at Shopian in Jammu & Kashmir
An encounter started between security forces and militants in Her Area in Shopian district in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday.

The security forces received an input that some militants were hiding in the Heff area of Shopian district. Acting on the information received, the security forces launched a search operation in the area. The militants started firing at the security forces.

The security forces retaliated and the search operation turned into a gun battle.
No casualties have been reported so far, he added.
