Bollywood actor Rani Mukherjee's mother Krishna Mukherjee dies at 75
PTC News Desk: Actor Rani Mukerji's mother, Krishna Mukerji, passed away at the age of 75 on Tuesday, September 22. Yash Raj Films confirmed the news and said the family has requested privacy during this difficult time.
The cause of her death has not been disclosed.
In a statement, Yash Raj Films said the family is grateful for the love, prayers and support they have received and requested privacy as they mourn their loss.
Krishna Mukerji had often been seen with Rani at public events and was a familiar face alongside the actor. Rani has spoken publicly about her close relationship with her mother on several occasions.
Krishna Mukerji was also associated with the Bengali film industry and had worked as a playback singer.
Rani Mukerji is known for films including Ghulam, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Saathiya, Hum Tum and Black. She was last seen in Mardaani 3, released in 2026.
The family has asked for privacy while grieving and thanked everyone for their support.
