Heart attack could be side effect of Covid-19 vaccine: Actor Shreyas Talpade
PTC News Desk: In a recent interview, Golmaal actor Shreyas Talpade, who suffered a cardiac arrest last year, discussed the possibility that the attack was a side effect of the Covid-19 vaccine.
Shreyas told Lehren Retro, "I don't smoke. I'm not a regular drinker; I only drink maybe once a month. No smoke, and yes, my cholesterol was somewhat elevated, which I was told is usual these days. I was taking medication for it, and it had subsided reasonably. So, if there are no diabetes, blood pressure, or other variables, what could be the cause?"
He added, "I would not dismiss the theory. Only after the Covid-19 vaccination did I start feeling worn out and tired. There has to be some truth, and we cannot dismiss the theory. Perhaps it is Covid or the vaccine, but there is something associated post that...It's unfortunate because we have no idea what we've taken into our bodies. We went with the flow and trusted the companies. I'd never heard of such incidents before Covid-19."
Shreyas Talpade had a heart attack last December. In an interview with ETimes, the actor described his recovery as a "second chance at life". Shreyas admitted that his recovery was "nothing short of a miracle" and that he did not expect this health setback.
"I'd never been hospitalised before, not even for a fracture, so I didn't expect this. Do not take your health for granted. Jaan toh Jahaan hai. An experience like this shifts your perspective on life," he said.
