'My heart goes out', Bollywood diva Alia Bhatt condemns terror attack on pilgrims in J-K's Reasi

Alia Bhatt condemns Reasi terror attack : In a heartfelt response, Bollywood star Alia Bhatt has condemned the recent terror attack on pilgrims in Reasi, Jammu and Kashmir. The incident, which has shocked the nation, saw a group of pilgrims targeted by terrorists, leading to multiple casualties and injuries.

Taking to her Instagram handle, Alia Bhatt wrote, "This is heartbreaking. My heart goes out to the victims and their families. Violence against the innocent shakes the very core of our family."


Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra also condemned the attack and questioned the hatred that is being witnessed across the world.

Taking to Instagram stories, she wrote, "Devastated. This heinous attack on innocent pilgrims is horrific. Why civilians and children?! It's so hard to comprehend the hatred we're witnessing around the world."

Besides Alia, Priyanka Chopra, Varun Dhawan, Mohit Raina, Parineeti Chopra, Kangana Ranaut, Riteish Deshmukh, Anupam Kher and others expressed their grief.

The incident in Reasi was reported on Sunday when terrorists opened fire on a bus carrying pilgrims, leading to the deaths of nine persons and injuries to 41 others. 

The 53-seater bus, travelling from the Shiv Khori temple to Katra, veered off the road after the attack and fell into a deep gorge near Teryath village in the Poni area.

Terrorists hiding in the nearby forest ambushed the vehicle, firing upon it. The bus driver was hit by a bullet, lost control, and the vehicle rolled down a gorge. Both the bus driver and the conductor were killed in the attack.

Meanwhile, the authorities have identified some of the victims, with most hailing from Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. The driver and conductor, both from Reasi, were among those killed. Of the injured, 34 are from Uttar Pradesh, five from Delhi, and two from Rajasthan.
