PTC Web Desk: Bollywood actor Nushrratt Bharuccha has been brought back to Mumbai by air ambulance after suffering a spinal fracture in an accident in Bali.
She was in Bali for a work-related trip combined with a holiday when the accident took place. She was admitted to a local hospital and kept under medical observation following the injury. After conducting further tests, doctors in Bali advised her to undergo spine surgery. Her team then made arrangements to shift her to Mumbai for further treatment.
The actor arrived in Mumbai late Friday evening. Videos from her arrival have surfaced online, showing her being moved out of the ambulance on a stretcher. Her family members and friends were also seen accompanying her.

Her team had earlier confirmed that surgery would be required and said her health was the immediate priority. The team also requested people to respect her privacy while she undergoes treatment and begins her recovery.
What can happen after a spinal fracture?
The recovery from a spinal fracture can be different for every person. The outcome depends on factors such as the location and seriousness of the fracture and whether nearby nerves or the spinal cord have been affected.
Some people may experience back pain, stiffness or reduced movement during recovery. In certain cases, nerve irritation can cause numbness, tingling, weakness or shooting pain.
A prolonged period of rest can also lead to muscle weakness and reduced stamina. Doctors may recommend physiotherapy and gradual strengthening exercises once movement is considered safe.
More serious spinal fractures can sometimes affect the spinal cord and lead to problems with movement or sensation. However, a spinal fracture does not automatically mean permanent disability.
Treatment can range from medication and restricted activity to surgery, depending on the injury. Bone healing may take several weeks, while complete recovery can take longer.
Nushrratt Bharuccha's work
Bharuccha was last seen in the horror film 'Chhorii 2', where she shared the screen with Saurabh Goyal and Soha Ali Khan.
She is also set to appear in an upcoming Netflix film associated with filmmaker Neeraj Pandey and actor Manoj Bajpayee. The project had earlier faced controversy over its working title, which was later dropped.
For now, the actor's focus remains on treatment and recovery following the Bali accident.
