'Disturbing & unnerving': Salman Khan's brother Arbaaz reacts to firing incident

PTC News Desk: Bollywood star Salman Khan's brother Arbaaz Khan has responded to the gunfire incident that occurred outside Salman's Mumbai residence. Arbaaz stated that the family has 'faith in the police' and is working with them on the investigation.

Arbaaz posted a statement on his social media account, saying,  "The recent incident of firing by two unidentified person on a motorcycle at Galaxy apartment, the residence of the Salim Khan family, is very disturbing and unnerving. Our family has been taken aback by this shocking incident. Unfortunately, some people claiming to be close to our family and pretending to be the spokesperson have been making loose statements to the media, saying it is all publicity stunt and the family remains unaffected. This is not true and should not be taken seriously."

"No member of the Salim Khan family has made any statement regarding the incident to the media. At this time, the family is helping and cooperating with the police in the investigation of this untoward incident. We have faith in the Mumbai police and we have been assured they will do everthing in their capacity to protect and secure our family. Thank you everyone for your love and support," the statement further read.

Two men on a bike fired four rounds outside Salman Khan's Galaxy Apartments home early Sunday before fleeing. The incident prompted an increase in security measures.

According to a Mumbai Police official, Salman Khan was present at his home when the firing took place.

Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, claimed responsibility for the incident in a social media post hours after the shooting outside Salman Khan's Galaxy Apartments house, saying it was only a 'trailer'.
