PTC Web Desk:  Karan Johar did not waste any time. On the final season of Koffee With Karan, his very first question to guest Salman Khan was a cheeky one about whether the actor was still a virgin.

Fans will remember that Johar asked the same thing back in 2014, during season four. Back then, Salman had joked that he was saving himself for marriage. This time, he dodged it with a laugh and said, “Control brother, control.”

Karan Johar posted a few clips from the episode on Tuesday. The full episode starts streaming on Wednesday on the Peacock Hub on JioHotstar.

In the teaser, Johar opened with a nod to Salman’s Internet-famous line. He said a wise man once told the world, “It’s done bro,” so who better than Salman to start his last season. The line refers to Salman’s viral post in July, when he asked activist Sonam Wangchuk to end his fast during the Gen Z protest.

Salman then asked Johar if this was really the end  or just a trick to get more stars on the couch. Johar promised he meant it. Salman replied in Punjabi, “Karan, tussi na jao” (Karan, please don’t go).

Karan Johar also noticed that Salman looked calmer and different. Salman joked that it was finally his turn to follow the advice he usually hands out to others.

A week earlier, Karan Johar had shared an emotional note about how the show began. He had told his father, producer Yash Johar, about the idea before Yash passed away in June 2004. Johar shot the first episode on August 16, 2004. Now, 22 years, eight seasons and 161 episodes later, he is closing the chapter.

He recalled how much happened along the way. He brought together lovers, friends and families and some couples he hosted later broke up while others got married. He joked that he nearly ended the careers of a few big stars and that the word “nepotism” still follows him today.

Johar said people always ask him about the next season of the show that gave him so much. He explained that he has now realised all good things must end and with a heavy heart, this will be his last season.
