Nanakana Sahib Incident: Sikh priest's daughter allegedly converted to Islam, Pakistan Punjab CM orders investigation

Nankana Sahib Incident: A Sikh girl forcefully abducted and converted in Pakistan’s Nankana Sahib city. As per reports, the girl was forced to marry a Muslim boy after being forcefully converted to Islam, the family alleged. Likewise, a video of the girls has outraged social media which is of the wedding ceremony. The girl is identified as Jagjit Kaur. In a video, the girl says she is getting married to the boy without any pressure.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has demanded action in the case of forceful conversion of a Sikh Girl to Islam. He said, “Shocking incident of a Sikh girl being kidnapped and forced to convert to Islam in Nankana Sahib, Pakistan. Call upon Imran Khan to take firm and immediate action against the perpetrators. Request S Jaishankar to strongly take up the issue with his counterpart at the earliest”.

Likewise, Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal spoke up on a Sikh girl allegedly abducted & converted to Islam in Pakistan. She said, “It is a shameful act. This issue will be raised and action will be taken. Friends of Imran Khan who are in other parties in Punjab should tell him to put an end to such things”.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Punjab CM Sardar Usman Buzdar has ordered an investigation into the Nankana Sahib (Lahore) incident where a Sikh priest’s daughter was allegedly abducted and converted to Islam.
