Bharat Jodo Yatra: Rahul Gandhi to undertake second stretch of padayatra from Gujarat to Meghalaya
Bharat Jodo Yatra: The second phase of Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra will begin in Gujarat and end in Meghalaya in the northeastern state.
While speaking to the media, Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole confirmed the news and told reporters that party officials across the state would hold a parallel march.
"The second leg of Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra will begin from Gujarat to Meghalaya," Patole announced.
Prominent Congress leaders will lead the march in several parts of the western state.
Gandhi travelled over 4,000 kilometres from Kanyakumari to Kashmir on the first phase of his yatra.
The Bharat Jodo Yatra, which began on September 7 in Kanyakumari and ended on January 30 in Srinagar, covered 3,970 kilometres, 12 states, and two Union territories in more than 130 days.
However, details concerning the new route as well as dates remain unconfirmed.
