BJP releases 'Sankalp Patra' manifesto for 2024 Lok Sabha Elections in PM Modi's presence

PTC News Desk: On Sunday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched its manifesto, known as 'Sankalp Patra', under the tagline "Modi ki Guarantee" for the forthcoming Lok Sabha Elections in 2024. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with party president JP Nadda and other senior leaders, presided over the unveiling ceremony held at the party headquarters.

The release of the manifesto coincided with the birth anniversary of BR Ambedkar, a revered figure in the Dalit community and a key architect of the Indian Constitution.


A 27-member manifesto committee led by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh was tasked with drafting the document. The committee convened twice to deliberate on its contents, following extensive consultations with the public through initiatives such as nationwide vans and social media campaigns soliciting suggestions.

During the event, JP Nadda highlighted the achievements of the BJP government, emphasising developments in rural infrastructure, connectivity, and poverty alleviation. He cited the expansion of road networks, optical fiber connectivity to villages, and significant reductions in poverty levels, as endorsed by the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Addressing the momentous inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Nadda recounted the hurdles overcome by the BJP amidst opposition from the Congress. He praised PM Modi's leadership in facilitating the construction of the grand temple, underscoring the government's commitment to national and cultural heritage.

Prime Minister Modi personally interacted with beneficiaries of various central government schemes during the manifesto launch, symbolizing the party's dedication to inclusive governance.

Among them were individuals like Raghuvir, a snack vendor in Delhi, who benefited from the PM Svanidhi Yojna loan scheme. Others included Ramvir from Jhajjar, Haryana, a recipient of benefits from the PM Kisan Yojna, and Lilawati from Bastar, who gained from initiatives like the Ujwala Yojna and Har Ghar Jal.

The release of the BJP manifesto marks a significant milestone in the lead-up to the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, promising an array of developmental initiatives and policy commitments.

5. Recognising the healthcare needs of the elderly and middle-class, the BJP pledged to extend the Ayushman Bharat Yojana to individuals above 75 years of age. This expansion aims to alleviate concerns regarding healthcare expenses and ensure comprehensive coverage for vulnerable demographics.

6. In a significant move towards inclusivity, Modi announced the integration of the transgender community into the Ayushman Bharat scheme, underscoring the party's commitment to equitable healthcare access.

7. Furthermore, Modi outlined the BJP's strategy for enhancing India's infrastructure across three crucial domains - social, digital, and physical. The party plans to establish new educational institutions to strengthen social infrastructure, modernise transportation networks including highways, railways, airways, and waterways to bolster physical infrastructure, and expand digital infrastructure by investing in 5G and 6G networks while preparing for Industry 4.0.
