Bomb threat on Delhi-Toronto Air Canada flight triggers panic
PTC Web Desk: An Air Canada Toronto-bound flight at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport received a bomb threat email on Wednesday, sparking panic among the public.
However, the threat turned out to be a hoax.
The Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) office got an email at 10.50 p.m. on Tuesday indicating that a bomb had been installed on the Delhi-Toronto Air Canada flight, according to officials.
"Following standard security protocols, a thorough inspection was conducted and nothing suspicious was found," an official said.
He stated that legal action is currently being pursued in the situation.
