Farmers' protest: After 110 days, the Sayunkt Kisan Morcha (non-political) and the Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee (KMSC) have urged farmers to continue their protest in Shambhu as the Lok Sabha Elections conclude.

Farmers are protesting over demands such as the release of three farmers held by Haryana Police, the issue of a guarantee for MSP for 23 crops, the waiver of farmer debts, and so on.

During the protest, which began on February 13, 22 farmers died, including two women and 21-year-old Shubhkaran Singh, who was shot dead at the Khanauri border on February 21.  Additionally, 35 farmers suffered serious injuries.

The SKM and KMSC have already called on people to come to the protest site at the border on June 2.

Sarwan Singh Pandher, a farmer leader, explained in a video message why the farmers are sitting on the border.  He stated that farmers were demanding a guarantee of MSP on all crops and were on their way to Delhi to protest, but were stopped by barricades, the crop of nails on the roads, and the deployment of heavy police and paramilitary forces.

He claimed that despite our peaceful protest, farmers were attacked with bullets, tear gas shells, water cannons and other weapons, injuring them and causing damage to their tractors.
