HSSC CET Group C Recruitment 2024: CET mandatory for all posts; Check details

HSSC CET Group C Recruitment 2024: The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has announced a major recruitment drive for Group-C positions, inviting applications for 356 posts across various departments. 

The majority of these openings are in Group-7, with 133 positions available, including roles such as Agriculture Inspector, Forest Ranger, and Marketing Officer. 


Group-3 follows with 93 positions across different departments.

Additionally, the recruitment includes 10 posts in Group-4, 19 in Group-5, and 27 posts in Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited. Group-9 has 25 openings, while Group-49A and 54 together have 40 positions available.

Common Eligibility Test (CET) Requirement

The HSSC has mandated the Common Eligibility Test (CET) for all the mentioned positions. Interested candidates can apply through the commission’s website HSSC Application Portal from August 5 to August 15 until midnight. 

The application portal will be closed after this period. 

Notably, candidates who have previously applied for these positions must reapply using their CET registration.

Eligibility Criteria

The commission has specified the eligibility and age criteria for these posts. Candidates must have passed Hindi or Sanskrit as a subject in matriculation or higher education. The age limit for applicants is between 18 to 42 years. However, age relaxation will be provided to SC, BC-A, BC-B, PWD, and ESM candidates from Haryana, as per government instructions.

Haryana Group C CET Selection Process

The Haryana government conducted the CET for Group C preliminary exam. Based on this exam, candidates who rank among the top four times the number of vacancies will be shortlisted for the Group C mains examination. Those who pass the mains exam will then be appointed to various departments for their selected positions.
