PTC News Desk: Opposition bloc INDIA on Sunday announced a mega march against the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The grand protest will be staged on March 31 at Delhi's Ramleela Maidan, Delhi minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Gopal Rai announced on Sunday.

Notably, the AAP chief was arrested on Thursday in the Delhi liquor policy case. The next day, the Rouse Avenue court granted Kejriwal's custody to ED till March 28.

"The arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has enraged people across the country who love and respect the constitution. It is not only about Arvind Kejriwal but also about wiping out the entire opposition one by one," Rai stated at the INDIA bloc leaders' briefing.

"PM Modi is misusing central agencies and buying MLAs...Either MLAs are bought with money or they are threatened to join the BJP. Those who are not willing to be sold, bow down; fake cases are being filed against them," he said.

"Ramlila Maidan is a historical site. Ramlila Maidan marked the beginning of the country's most significant revolutions. AAP also emerged from Ramlila Maidan... Senior leaders from all INDIA parties will attend the rally and address the nation,' Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj said.

Arvinder Singh Lovely, the Delhi Congress chief, stated, "Democracy is in danger. Our leader (Congress MP) Rahul Gandhi is fighting for democracy. We are standing strong with the INDIA alliance partners."

"The March 31 'maha rally' will not only be a political one but a call to save the country's democracy and raise voices against the BJP-led Centre," he said.
