Pune Porsche accident: The Pune Police on Saturday filed an FIR against a social media influencer for allegedly creating a fake video of the teenager boasting about the May 19 Porsche crash that killed two software engineers.

The video eventually went viral on social media. The Pune Police Cyber Cell stated that the case against the reel creator has been filed under Sections 509, and 294 B of the IPC, and 67 of the IT Act.

The Porsche, allegedly driven by a drunk 17-year-old teenager, killed two motorbike-riding engineers, Aneesh Awadhiya and Ashwini Koshta, in Pune's Kalyani Nagar area in the early hours of May 19.

On Friday, a local court ordered that the six accused arrested in the case, including the teen's father Vishal Agarwal, be held in judicial custody until June 7. The teenager is in an observation home until June 5.

The Madhya Pradesh-based parents of the two IT professionals have demanded that the Supreme Court monitor the probe and that the trial be held in their state.

Meanwhile, Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar revealed details about the driver's initial statement and subsequent actions taken by the police, saying that at first, the police disbelieved the driver's statement in which he claimed to be driving the car.

"When the driver was first brought to the Police Station from the scene, the first statement he made in writing was that he drove the car. But the police at the time did not believe the driver's account, and after a preliminary investigation, they recorded an offence against the juvenile accused since it was obvious prima facie that the juvenile accused was driving the vehicle,Kumar said.

"The family threatened the driver to accept the blame. The driver was confined. The driver was not behind the wheel. The family of the accused minor attempted to bribe the driver, according to the Pune Police Commissioner.
