JP Nadda replaces Piyush Goyal as Leader Of House in Rajya Sabha
PTC Web Desk: Senior BJP leader and Union Health Minister JP Nadda has been named the Leader of the House in the Rajya Sabha. The BJP leader also holds the Chemicals and Fertilizers portfolio in the Cabinet.
The Union Minister will succeed Piyush Goyal as Leader of the House. During Prime Minister Modi's second term, Goyal served as Rajya Sabha House Leader.
After being sworn in, there was speculation that Nadda might step down as BJP National President, a position he took up from current Union Home Minister Amit Shah in 2020.
However, it appears that Nadda will remain the BJP's top organisational head.
