'Stop waiting for weekends': Kangana Ranaut wants to normalise 'obsessive' work culture

PTC Web Desk: Actor-turned-Parliamentarian Kangana Ranaut has some views about the Indian workforce. She feels that for India's growth, individuals must become 'obsessed' with their work.

Kangana in her latest Instagram story said that 'Monday Blues' is a Western concept and discussed Monday memes. She stated that as India is a developing country, its citizens should not complain about their jobs. The actor also stated that an "obsessive work culture" should be normalised.

Kangana shared a video of Prime Minister Narendra Modi speaking about working 24x7 to build the nation and wrote "We need to normalise obsessive work culture and stop with the waiting for weekends and crib about Mondays memes, that's all western brainwashing, we are not a developed nation yet." "We can't afford to be bored and lazy at all," she added.

Kangana Ranaut has become only the fourth woman ever to be elected to Lok Sabha from Himachal Pradesh, and the first woman who is not from an erstwhile royal family. She defeated her Congress rival Vikramaditya Singh, scion of Rampur state and the incumbent state public works minister, by a margin of 74,755 votes from the Mandi Lok Sabha constituency.
