PM Modi in Varanasi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who won his third Lok Sabha election from Varanasi, thanked the people of his constituency, saying that their trust in him is his "biggest asset" and motivates him to work hard to realise their dreams.

PM Modi won a third consecutive term in office in the Lok Sabha Elections, with the BJP-led NDA winning 293 seats.

"Your trust is my most valuable asset, and it inspires me to work hard to serve you and lift the country to new heights. I will work tirelessly, day and night, to realise your dreams and goals," PM Modi said in Varanasi after releasing the 17th instalment of the PM-KISAN scheme on Tuesday.

The Prime Minister also congratulated the people on electing a government for the third time in ten years of governance.

"The election results have made new history. It is rare in all democratic nations for an elected government to be in power for a third consecutive term...This took place in India sixty years ago. Since then, no other government has scored a hat trick. You have provided this opportunity to your Sevak Modi. In a country like India, where youth aspirations are so high and people have so many dreams, voting for any government to power after ten years of governance is a great victory, a big achievement, and a big trust," Prime Minister Narendra Modi said.

The Prime Minister commented on the vastness of the Lok Sabha elections, stating that such an elaborate exercise is unprecedented in the world.

"The world is witnessing the vastness, expanse, and deep roots of India's democracy through the 18th Lok Sabha election. Over 64 crore people voted in this election. PM Modi stated that there has never been an election in such a large area where so many people vote.

PM Modi compared the large number of voters who participated in the Lok Sabha polls to European countries, saying, "I recently went to Italy to participate in the G7 Summit. Even if we add all of the G7 countries' voters, India will still have 1.5 times as many voters. Even if we add up all of Europe's nations and all of the European Union's voters, India has 1.5 times the number of voters.

"In this election, more than 31 crore women participated. This number exceeds the global total of female voters. This figure is the same as the total population of America. This is the beauty and strength of India's democracy that draws the entire world," he said.
