PTC Web Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced on Tuesday that his monthly radio broadcast, 'Mann Ki Baat', will resume on June 30 after an election hiatus.

PM took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and said, “Delighted to share that after a gap of some months due to the elections, #MannKiBaat is back! This month's programme will take place on Sunday, 30th June.”

Urging people to send in ideas for the episode, he suggested various ways for citizens to contribute. PM stated that they welcome input through the MyGov Open Forum and NaMO app. People can also send voice recordings of their messages to the number 1800 11 7800.

The 'Mann Ki Baat' programme, which airs once a month, was put on hold for the 2024 General Elections, with the final episode airing on February 25.

The 110th episode of the show featured Modi encouraging first-time voters to vote in the elections. Demanding record turnout, Modi urged first-time voters to vote for their country.

According to the Election Commission's Model Code of Conduct (MCC) guidelines, the government is not permitted to use official events or publicly funded platforms to gain an unfair advantage over its opponents. This was the reason for the temporary halt of PM's 'Mann Ki Baat'

“Although Mann Ki Baat is a program of the people for the people, of the people and by the people but maintaining political decorum, ‘Mann Ki Baat’ won’t be broadcast for the next three months given upcoming Lok Sabha polls”, PM Modi said.
