Pune Porsche crash : The 17-year-old lad, who earlier this week in Pune killed two IT workers riding motorcycles with his Porsche ended up into the irreplaceable loss and enduring sorrow. 

Though, for some the horrific Pune Porsche crash underscores the dangers of allowing minors to drive, several other questioned country’s judicial system but for two families of Madhya Pradesh, Pune Porsche incident ended up in irreplaceable loss, enduring sorrow and endless pain.


The tragic incident unfolded when Anish Awadiya and Ashwini Costa were returning home on motorcycles with friends after a night out at a club. 

Vedant Agarwal, 17, was driving the Porsche Taycan and crashed the speeding vehicle into their bike at the Kalyani Nagar junction.

The collision was so severe that it flung Awadiya and Costa into the air, and they landed on another car, dying instantly. After hitting them, the Porsche careened into the pavement and stopped. 

Anish Awadhiya and Ashwini Kostha were two 24-year-old engineers with big dreams who had left their small-town homes. That fateful night in Pune, they were riding a bike to meet friends when a drunken teenager driving a high-end car hit them from behind. 

Devasted Ashwini's family in Jabalpur said, “We were supposed to send her off in a doli (bridal palanquin) after her wedding, but instead we had to carry her arthi (funeral bier)." 

"We want justice for Ashwini. The minor boy and his parents deserve strict punishment. They didn't raise him properly and should not have given him the car," she said about the 17-year-old driver, who has now been placed in an observation home while the Juvenile Justice Board determines whether he will be tried as an adult.

Notably, the 17-year-old son of a well-known builder is accused of driving the electric luxury sports sedan Porsche Taycan, which is reportedly priced at Rs 1.61 crore ex-showroom and may go up to Rs 2.44 crore. According to police, the builder was intoxicated when the accident occurred early on Sunday morning in Kalyani Nagar.

It has also been rumored that 17-year-old spent Rs 48,000 at a local bar prior to the incident; the police have taken the bill for additional investigation. 

As per the recent update, the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) has cancelled the bail of a 17-year-old boy accused in the Pune Porsche accident in which a biker and a pillion rider were killed.

The accused has been sent to a remand home for 14 days, until June 5.
