Navjot Singh Sidhu's mission resignation against Captain Amarinder Singh fails: Sources
Amid a rift in the Punjab Congress, the 'mission resignation' of Navjot Singh Sidhu against Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has failed, the sources revealed on Friday.
As per the sources, the ministers who came in support of Navjot Singh Sidhu on his call refused to resign.

Earlier, the sources had revealed that Captain Amarinder Singh was angry over Navjot Singh Sidhu’s secret meeting with ministers and MLAs late last night.

Captain had received information secretly from reliable sources that Navjot Sidhu has incited the Ministers and MLAs present in the meeting to resign against him.
Due to the ongoing rift in Punjab Congress, Sidhu met the party’s interim president Sonia Gandhi at his residence on Friday.
"I came here to submit my note to the party president. As soon as I get to know about her decision regarding Punjab Congress, I'll let you (media) all know," said Harish Rawat after meeting Sonia Gandhi.
The Chief Minister is still adamant that if Sidhu would be made the President of Punjab Congress, the party will break up.
