2024 Lok Sabha elections: ECI issues strict instructions, no cops to be deployed in their hometown
2024 Lok Sabha elections: Ahead of the much-awaited 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has issued strict instructions. The election commission banned district officers, police officers, and officers from being deployed in their hometowns during elections.
According to reports, the ECI ordered that all officers be transferred immediately and that they provide a declaration letter stating that they have "no ties to any of the party's candidates."
According to sources, all officers will be transferred from their home district, from SSP to Sub Inspector, and these changes must be made within 7 days of receiving the letter.
The DCs of all districts were also ordered to be transferred.
